Johnny Depp und Antonio Banderas in Sin City 2?

In einem Interview mit Mtv erzählte Robert Rodriguez, dass er sich sehr gut vorstellen könnte, Johnny Depp für "Sin City 2" zu bekommen. Depp sollte schon in Sin City 1 dabei sein und die Rolle des Jackie Boy spielen, die Benicio Del Toro gespielt hat, da Depp zu der Zeit "The Libertine" gedreht hat. Rodriguez sagt im zweiten Teil hätte er wieder eine passende Rolle für Depp in der Story "Hell and Back". Auch über einen möglichen Part für Antonio Banderas verriert Rodriguez einiges: "When I showed him the first sample of the work, he went, 'Man I'll do anything in that. I'll be the hunchback. You have to bring me onboard, that looks amazing,'". "So Frank met him that time too and he said, 'I have got to find something for that guy. I've never met him before. He's amazing.' [So we're] looking at the cast of characters and [looking] to see where he can fit."
Banderas wäre also mehr als gern dabei, eine passende Rolle wird ihm gerade gesucht.
