Interview: Peter Jackson

Hier ein Interview auf MovieHole mit dem Regisseur Peter Jackson, der schon für Meilensteine der Filmgeschichte wie The Lord of the Rings und Braindead (Zombie Rasenmäher) verantwortlich war. Nun hat er King Kong noch einmal als Hollywood-Blockbuster auf die große Leinwand gebracht.

Natürlich spricht er über King Kong, sagt aber auch etwas zu seinem neuen Projekt (als ausführender Produzent), der Verfilmung Halo, einem Game, von dem er selbst Fan ist, aber ein Projekt, in dem er nicht als Regisseur tätig sein möchte, weil er den Spaß, aber nicht die harte Arbeit haben will.

You’re still producing Halo?
JACKSON: Yeah.
What attracted you to Halo?
JACKSON: I’m a fan of the game.
But video game movies suck.
JACKSON: They do.
So what will be different?
JACKSON: Hopefully it won’t suck.
But why not direct?
JACKSON: I want a break. I want to have the fun but not the hard work. I just want to be part of the creative team but not actually have the pain.
